VIBRATION AS MEDICINE

In the Rastafari and African diaspora traditions, sound is not just heard – it is felt in the bones, the blood, the spirit. At the Sacred Sound Arbor, we offer immersive sound healing baths using crystal singing bowls, ocean drums, gongs, and Nyabinghi-influenced percussion. These frequencies recalibrate your nervous system, release emotional blockages, and bring you into alignment with livity (life force).

Lie down, close your eyes, and let the vibrations wash over you. Mats, blankets, and eye pillows are provided. All are welcome – no prior experience needed.

Hydrate
Drink plenty of water before and after a sound bath to help process released energies.
For sensitive ears
Free earplugs available at the sound arbor entrance. Children welcome with adult supervision.

🎧 The Science of Sound Healing

RESEARCH + ANCESTRAL WISDOM

Frequency & Brain States
Sound vibrations can shift brainwaves from beta (active) to alpha (relaxed) and theta (meditative/deep healing). Studies show reduced cortisol and improved immune response.

Nyabinghi as Medicine
Traditional Nyabinghi drumming uses specific rhythms that synchronize heartbeats and induce trance states – a form of communal sound healing practiced for generations.

Crystal Bowls & Chakra Tuning
Quartz crystal bowls produce pure frequencies that resonate with the body's energy centers (chakras), promoting energetic balance and emotional release.

Educational note: Sound healing is a complementary practice. Our facilitators are trained sound therapists, not medical practitioners.

“We must become members of a new race, overcoming petty prejudice, owing our ultimate allegiance not to nations but to our fellow humans.”

Sound unites us beyond words. Join the vibration – lie down, listen, and let go.
