1. Acceptance of Terms
SelassieFest ("the Festival", "we", "us", "our") provides a free, community-oriented outdoor roots reggae and cultural festival experience. By using our website, registering for a ticket, or attending the event, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not register or attend.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Free Tickets & Registration
SelassieFest offers free general admission to all attendees. Registration is optional but encouraged to help us plan capacity, manage workshops, and communicate important updates.
- No payment required: We do not charge for entry. Registration does not create a financial transaction.
- Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your registration at any time by contacting us or using the link provided in your confirmation email.
- Age policy: All ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
3. Vendor & Performer Agreements
Vendors, food purveyors, artists, and performers who participate in SelassieFest do so under a separate agreement. The following general terms apply:
- Compliance: All vendors must comply with local health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Ital & plant-based focus: We encourage plant-based, Ital, and sustainable offerings. Non-compliant vendors may be asked to adjust their menu or offerings.
- Insurance: Vendors are required to carry their own liability insurance and indemnify the Festival against any claims arising from their operations.
- Conduct: Vendors and performers agree to uphold the values of respect, community, and cultural appreciation that define SelassieFest.
Ital food vendors: Please ensure all ingredients are clearly labeled and that you are prepared to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies where possible.
4. Event Conduct & Code of Conduct
SelassieFest is a space of unity, respect, and conscious celebration. We expect all attendees, vendors, volunteers, and staff to adhere to the following principles:
- Respect: Treat all people with dignity. Harassment, discrimination, or violence of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Environment: Help us keep the grounds clean. Use designated waste and recycling bins.
- Substances: Cannabis consumption is permitted in designated areas only. No illegal substances or underage consumption.
- Photography: By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. Please notify us if you do not wish to be included.
- Removal: We reserve the right to remove any person who violates these Terms or poses a safety risk to the community.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the SelassieFest website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and promotional materials, is the property of SelassieFest Collective or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written permission.
- Brand marks: The SelassieFest name, logo, and tagline are protected trademarks.
- User content: By posting content (photos, reviews, etc.) on our platforms, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for promotional purposes.
6. Liability & Disclaimers
SelassieFest is an outdoor event. By attending, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with outdoor activities, including but not limited to weather, uneven terrain, and crowd dynamics.
- Assumption of risk: You participate at your own risk. We are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property.
- Medical emergencies: First aid stations will be available. In case of emergency, you authorize us to provide necessary medical assistance.
- Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, government action).
- Third-party links: Our website may link to external sites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Important: All attendees are encouraged to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and listen to their bodies. Please be mindful of your own well-being and that of others.

8. Governing Law
