Free Festival Entry
Volunteer for one shift (4–5 hours) and enjoy the rest of the festival free. Includes access to all stages, workshops, and the closing ceremony.

Training & Leadership
Pre‑festival orientation + on‑site mentorship. Opportunity to lead a small team and gain event production experience.
Community Service Letter
Receive a verified certificate of volunteer hours (great for resumes, school, or personal growth).
After‑party Access
Invitation to the private volunteer appreciation gathering after the festival (music, refreshments, community circle).
Gate & Welcome Crew
Greet attendees, scan tickets, distribute wristbands, provide directions – the first smile of SelassieFest.
Green Team (Sustainability)
Manage recycling/compost stations, help keep grounds clean, educate on waste sorting.
Stage & Sound Assistant
Assist stage managers, help with artist check‑in, water runs, and gear logistics (light lifting).
Healing Grove Host
Support yoga/meditation sessions, manage sign‑ups, keep space serene and welcoming.
Youth Village Guardian
Assist with children’s activities (drum circles, face painting, gardening) – must love kids.
Ital Marketplace Steward
Help vendors, manage lines, ensure cleanliness, direct attendees to water stations.
Higher Learning Roots Guide
Answer questions about cannabis education schedule, help with workshops, manage attendance.
Lost & Found / Info Booth
Assist attendees with lost items, schedule questions, accessibility needs – problem solvers.
Sound System Yard Crew
Monitor sound clash area, help keep crowd safe, assist audio techs with simple tasks.
Medical Support Runner
Act as liaison between first aid tent and roving EMTs – must be calm under pressure (basic first aid a plus).
Morning Shift
5:30 AM – 10:30 AM (dawn setup + gate opening). Best for early risers. Includes sunrise groundation.
Mid‑Day Shift
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM – Peak festival action. Help with workshops, marketplace, main stage flow.
Evening Shift
2:30 PM – 8:00 PM – Support the sunset concert, sound clash, and closing ceremony.
Setup / Breakdown Crew
Work before the festival (July 24, 2–7 PM) or after (July 25, 9–11 PM). Great for those who want lighter crowd interaction.
Each volunteer commits to one 4‑5 hour shift. You may request a preference, and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Shifts are assigned 2 weeks prior to event.
Eligibility
- Must be at least 18 years old (16+ with guardian permission)
- Complete online orientation & sign liability waiver
- Arrive 30 minutes before shift start for check‑in
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods (accommodations available)
Volunteer Code of Conduct
- Respect festival values: One Love, anti‑discrimination, peace
- No alcohol/drugs while on duty (cannabis only in designated zones after shift)
- Maintain professional, friendly attitude at all times
- Report any issues to volunteer coordinator immediately
