From 10 AM to 9 PM, Spliff Society leads the Higher Learning Roots village through a complete curriculum of smoke craft, culture, and community. All times Central. All sessions are participatory and open to all 21+ attendees.

We'll cover everything from selecting the right wrap to packing, sealing, and finishing your perfect spliff. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned roller, you'll leave with new skills and a deeper appreciation for the craft.

Your grinder is the most important tool in your kit[reference:9]. We'll break down the anatomy of a quality grinder, how to choose the right one for your needs, and tips for maintaining it. Learn why a good grind makes all the difference in your smoking experience.
Nobody teaches this — and everybody needs it. We lead a candid, funny, and deeply informative session on the unwritten laws of the smoke circle: puff-puff-pass and why it exists, how long is too long, never blowing smoke in anyone's face, the correct direction of the pass, who lights, who holds the conversation, and how the chalice circle differs fundamentally in protocol.
At the end of a full day of learning, we find out who has leveled up. The Roll-Off is our community rolling competition — open to all attendees. Categories: Best Blunt, Best Joint, Best Creative Roll. Judging criteria: structural integrity, evenness of pack, quality of seal, aesthetic beauty, and how well it burns. As the sky darkens, we gather for our most sacred session: the evening chalice ceremony. In the Rastafari tradition, this is not recreation — it is reasoning; a communal seeking of truth and guidance through the holy herb. Words are spoken. The chalice passes. Those who do not participate in consumption are equally welcomed to sit, listen, and be present.
The day ends where all good things end — with community. Certificates of participation for all who attended three or more sessions. The Roll-Off winners are recognized. Instructors share final words. The village doesn't close — it sends you home with new hands and new knowledge.
This is a craft and culture space. These agreements keep it that way for everyone.
