How It's Played

A yard game focusing on fine-motor precision. A small, narrow-necked glass bottle is placed on the ground. Players stand several feet back and hold a length of string with a small nail or heavy needle tied to the bottom. Swinging the string like a pendulum, they attempt to drop the nail cleanly into the narrow mouth of the bottle.

Cultural Roots

Taught spatial judgment, steady hand control, and patience, serving as a quiet, competitive game played on verandas during rainy days.
