To the La Fruteria Family
Blessings and one love. As a host and performer at SelassieFest 2026 — Chicago’s premiere Ethiopian & Jamaican roots culture festival — I’m reaching out to invite you to be part of something special.
On July 25th, 12 performing artists plus selectors, elders and community members will gather on the South Side for a full day of Nyabinghi drumming, conscious dancehall, sound clashes, Ital food and deep Pan-African celebration. Backstage, we’re building a dedicated Artist Green Room Tent — a space where performers can chill, commune and recharge between sets. And we want to fill it with the real taste of home.
We would love your help stocking the Artist Green Room Tent with fresh, authentic Caribbean fuel. A sponsorship of fruits, snacks and D&G drinks keeps our artists energized and rooted.
Coconuts, mangoes, bananas, guineps, June plums, papaws, soursop, oranges
Ginger Beer, Kola Champagne, Pineapple Soda, Ting (grapefruit)
Plantain chips, coconut drops, banana chips, coconut water (Grace/Jamaican Choice)
Even a few cases of D&G soda or a box of fresh mangoes would be a massive help. Every bit counts.

Direct gratitude from the artists and thousands of attendees
La Fruteria has been a pillar of the South Side Caribbean community for years. Partnering with SelassieFest is a chance to show that same love to the artists who carry our culture forward — and to put your name in front of thousands of conscious festival‑goers.
